CCH Participating in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
4/1/2011
Columbus, NE (April, 2011) – Columbus Community Hospital is offering the public an opportunity to safely rid their home of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
On Saturday, April 30th, from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. the Hospital will be taking part in the “National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day”. You can bring any prescription or over-the-counter drug to the drop-off point in the Hospital lobby between these hours. The service is free and anonymous – no questions asked and all collected drugs will be properly destroyed.
Prescription medicines should never be shared, thrown in the trash where others can find them or flushed where they may enter our water supply.
Intravenous solutions, injectables, syringes and aerosol inhalers cannot be accepted. Please bring the medication in its original container.
