Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can my son or daughter join the group after their current sports season?

A: Yes. We have extended sign-up on the website so parents can sign their kids up any week up to March 13, with the program concluding on April 6. Costs are prorated, so you will only pay for the training weeks you sign up for.

Q: My son/daughter is currently playing a sport. Is this training okay for them?

A: Yes. Junior high, high school and college-aged athletes around the country are training in season. Research shows that in-season training can be very impactful for maintaining and/or improving muscular endurance, strength, power, joint stability and injury prevention. In-season athlete’s programs are modified based on their practice/competition schedule and any training they receive at their school.

Q: My son/daughter doesn’t respond well when I try to help them with training. Is this something you can help with?

A: Absolutely, and something I see frequently. Similar to the sport they play — When a coach provides a structured environment with proper coaching, programming, and teaching for a student-athlete, along with showing them tangible results, they typically always fit right in. This is exactly what we will provide for your student-athlete at CSPC.

For additional questions about the program, please contact Lucas Novotny, MS, CSCS, director of performance and training, at 402-562-4607 or visit us at 3100 23rd St., Suite 15 in Columbus.
